My Background

Though I started Basimos Digital Marketing in 2002, I’ve been building, marketing, and managing small business and corporate websites since before Google was launched! 😉

Keeping Up With Technology

I started my continuing education by attending leading industry conferences in the mid-90’s, such as Search Engine Strategies, Seybold Publishing, and Internet World.

Which led to attending Search Marketing Expo (SMX), MarTech, Social Media Marketing World, and WordCamps (WordPress Conferences) across the country.

I’m an original Geek Girl, as a member of the organizing team for the Geek Girl Technology Conference and instructor. I am a co-organizer of the local WordPress Cape Cod Meetup.

Professional Experience

My professional background includes training and support for financial software applications, sales and hotel management positions in the hospitality industry on Cape Cod.

And the Internet Marketing Manager for a control networking technology company in Silicon Valley, where I was responsible for all marketing and technical aspects of the website which included the creative direction, implementation and management of all online communication programs.

For more than a decade, I was the Digital Operations Manager at Cape Cod Broadcasting Media where I developed and managed four radio station sites, corporate site, the World Classical Network sites plus CapeCod.com, in addition to streaming apps for all four radio stations and managing the two mail servers.

My combined marketing, technical and management experience has proven invaluable, as I am able to offer comprehensive digital marketing solutions that are both logical and effective with a hands-on and customer-focused approach.

Volunteering

I’ve served on the Board of Directors of the Cape Cod Technology Council and chair of the Marketing Committee, an ambassador for the Hyannis Chamber of Commerce, and previously served on the marketing/membership committee for the Philanthropy Partners of the Cape and Islands.

I also volunteer for the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office as a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) member and the Cape Cod Medical Reserve Corps (CCMRC) to assist with administrative and other essential support functions for emergency management teams.
