Website Design & Development

Websites Designed to Attract and Convert Customers

Your website is often the first impression people have of your business. It should clearly communicate what you do, make it easy for visitors to take the next step, and help potential customers find you through search.

We develop professional WordPress websites built around your business goals. Each site is designed to reflect your brand, perform well on mobile devices, load quickly, and support search visibility so your website becomes a reliable tool for attracting new customers.

Strategy Behind Every Website.

A successful website starts with understanding your business. Before design or development begins, we look at who you are trying to reach, which services matter most, and how potential customers search for businesses like yours. Those insights guide how the site is structured, from page organization and navigation to the placement of calls to action.

The result is a website built with intention. Every element is designed to help visitors quickly understand what you offer and feel confident taking the next step, whether that means contacting you, requesting a quote, or scheduling a service.

One Partner for Strategy, Development, and Support

Many businesses end up working with separate marketers and developers. One focuses on messaging while the other manages the technical side, which can make it difficult to keep strategy and execution aligned.

Working with a single partner who understands both simplifies the process. Your website is built with marketing, search visibility, performance, and usability in mind from the beginning. After launch, ongoing support is available for updates, security monitoring, and improvements, so when you need help, you are working with someone who already knows your website and how it was built.

SEO Is Part of the Foundation

Search engine optimization is not added at the end. It is considered from the beginning.

Your site structure, page hierarchy, on-page elements, speed, and mobile performance are all handled with search and accessibility in mind. The goal is simple: help your business show up when local customers are actively looking for your services.

Local search visibility can make a meaningful difference in steady inquiries, even outside peak season as many experience on Cape Cod.

Ongoing Support From Someone Who Knows Your Site

Websites require care. Updates, backups, security monitoring, small adjustments, and occasional improvements all matter over time.

Instead of launching your site and disappearing, we offer ongoing maintenance and support. When you have a question or need help, you contact the person who built the site and understands how it works.

No call centers. No ticket systems with strangers.

Clear Costs, No Surprises

Every project is unique, so pricing depends on the scope of work, the features you need, and the current state of your website if one already exists.

We provide clear estimates and detailed proposals so you know exactly what to expect before work begins.

The BASIMOS Process For Website Development

Every website project is different, but we follow a clear and organized process to make sure your project runs smoothly from start to finish. The B.A.S.I.M.O.S. framework guides each step, keeping you informed, involved, and confident that your website will meet your goals.

Brief Introduction

Estimated time: 15–20 minutes

We start with a short introduction call. During this conversation we discuss your goals, your current website if you have one, and what you are hoping to achieve. This conversation also gives us a chance to get to know each other and determine whether we are a good fit to work together.

Approximate Estimate

Estimated time: 1–2 business days

After our conversation, you will receive a follow-up email with an approximate estimate for project cost and timeline based on what we discussed.

If you would like to move forward, a signed agreement and project deposit are required to reserve your place in the schedule.

Strategic Discovery

Estimated time: 60–90 minutes

Once the agreement and deposit are received, we schedule a discovery session to review the details of your project. This includes site structure, functionality, content requirements, assets, and any technical or legal considerations.

Implementation Plan

Estimated time: 2–3 business days

Following discovery, you will receive a detailed proposal outlining the scope of work, deliverables, timeline, and project cost.

Make the Website

Estimated time: 2–4 weeks

This phase begins once all required content has been provided. The website is then designed and developed in stages, with regular updates so you can stay informed as the site takes shape.

Optimization and Testing

Estimated time: up to 2 days

Before launch, the website goes through a complete testing and quality assurance process to ensure functionality, performance, and compatibility. Final payment is due prior to launch.

Site Launch and Support

Estimated time: 1 day for launch

After final approval and payment, your website is launched on your domain. Ongoing website management services are available to keep your site secure, updated, and functioning properly.

My exact quote when seeing my new website by Jean was “You ROCK!” And I stand by that quote!  My old website was almost 9 years old (ancient in today’s fast moving digital world) and I had been attempting to update things myself for over 4 years to no avail. I was still unhappy with how it looked and, worst of all, it didn’t represent me or my business today.  I contacted Jean and she helped guide me through the process of getting the right info to create the website I needed to represent my business as it is now.  She is an expert on building with WordPress, and I am thrilled with the outcome and looking forward to having Jean maintain the site for me going forward.  I now have a site I am proud to share with the world.  Jean is worth every penny!  Stop procrastinating (like I did) and hire her!  You will be very glad you did!

Frequently Asked Questions About Website Development

How long does it take to build a website?

Most website projects take about 3–4 weeks from start to launch, depending on the size of the site and how quickly content and feedback are provided. A clear process keeps things moving so your site launches on schedule.

How much does a website cost?

Website projects typically start at $2,000, with the final cost depending on the number of pages, functionality, and specific business needs. After an initial discovery conversation, you’ll receive a clear estimate outlining the scope of work.

Will my website work on mobile devices?

Yes. Every website is designed to be responsive, meaning it adapts to phones, tablets, and desktops so visitors have a smooth experience on any device.

Will my website be optimized for search engines?

Search engine visibility is considered from the beginning. Your website will include SEO-friendly page structure, metadata, mobile performance, and fast loading speeds to support better visibility in search results.

Can I update the website myself?

Yes. Your site will be built on WordPress, which allows you to easily update text, images, and blog posts if you choose. Many clients also prefer ongoing support so they don’t have to worry about updates or maintenance.

What about website hosting?

Your website must be hosted on a reliable hosting platform that supports WordPress updates and backups. If needed, recommendations can be provided for hosting services that work well.

What happens after the website launches?

After testing and launch, you get 30 days of after-care (and I can handle ongoing maintenance if you’d rather not think about it). Many clients choose a monthly website care plan that includes updates, backups, security monitoring, and time for small content changes. This keeps your site secure and running smoothly.

Do I need to provide the content and images?

Yes, you provide your own content and images, or we can help guide you through what is needed. If needed, we can also assist with content structure, messaging, and image sourcing to ensure the website looks professional and communicates clearly.

Can you redesign my existing website?

Yes. If your current site feels outdated, slow, or difficult to manage, we can redesign it to improve performance, usability, and search visibility while maintaining your brand identity.

Do you work with clients outside of the Cape Cod area?

While we specialize in working with Cape Cod small businesses and nonprofits, I work remotely so I can easily work with clients in most areas if the project is a good fit.

Who will be working on my website?

You will work directly with Jean throughout the entire project. I run a small independent web design business, which means every project receives my personal attention from start to finish.

I do not outsource work overseas or pass projects off to unknown contractors. The planning, design, and development are all handled directly by me, so communication stays simple and consistent.
